Available in convenient 1kg and 2.5kg sizes, Renshaw Extra Fondant Icing has a firmer texture compared to standard fondant, making it ideal for use in hot and humid climates. 
Its elasticity means you can roll it exceptionally thin without compromising quality, ensuring a flawless cake presentation every time.

How to Use:

Knead: Work the icing on a clean, dry surface until it’s smooth and pliable.
Roll: Dust your surface lightly with icing sugar and roll the icing to a thickness of 1-2mm.
Cover: Lift the icing with a rolling pin and drape it over your prepared cake.
Smooth: Gently smooth the icing down the sides with your palm, and finish with a smoother for a perfect finish. Trim any excess icing.

Top Tips:

For minor cracks and imperfections, gently smooth with your palm or use a flexi smoother while the icing is still fresh.
Add Tylo Powder (1 tsp per 250g) to create a firm modelling paste.
Mix 50/50 with Renshaw Flower & Modelling Paste for a pliable modelling paste that retains a softer set.
For best results, coat your cake first with marzipan, buttercream, or ganache.
